My Scooter Keeps Cutting Out of Power

Why Does My Electric Scooter Stop Suddenly

Electric Scooter Troubleshooting

Without warning, the motor cuts off and the Koppla scooter comes to a standstill. it could potentially are 4 reasons why it could be, here some basic troubleshooting steps to determine the cause when driving a electric scooter

THE BATTERY / LOOSE CONNECTION

When the scooter battery is low, it will switch on, but the motor will not run. On the other hand, when the battery is empty, it won’t even start on, let alone the motor. So, if you’re not getting any power on the Koppla electric scooter, most likely the battery is empty or disconnected. And the solution to that problem is to recharge it and then check if the charging connection loose when you hit a bump or go down a kerb or maybe dirty connectors.

MOTOR FAULTY / HEATS UP

The motor is one of the stable and durable components of electric motorcycle. It’s difficult but not impossible to fail. The most common reason for motor failure is moisture penetration when the motor is exposed to a lot of water or submerged in it. And sometimes motor shuts off when its overheating, just avoid battery damage.

Check the connection and dry it up; Turn off the scooter and let it cool down, this will often resolve the problem.

NOTE: Do not touch the motor or brake disc on bare hands after a instant ride, it may cause serious burn or injury

BRAKE LEVER

Automatic shut-off kickstand connects directly to the throttle control system of the scooter. So, if it is on, it will deactivate the entire system of your motorcycle.

Even when it fails, it locks up the brake in the scooter and shuts down. No doubt, this safety feature is a lifesaver, but in times it is the root problem why the scooter cuts off.

CONTROLLER ISSUE

All the parts and wires connected to the electrical board in your electric scooter. Controller, heart of the motorcycle, it pumps electricity throughout to all electric powered parts. If any liquid or other substance on it, or some loosen connections, will definitely cause the engine trouble at getting started. It might not even turn on at all.

When I’m on mode 2 and I go over 36 mph the motor cuts off then shuts down when the speed goes down and it does not turn back on unless I unplug the battery and plug it back in
